Why did korea become a global IT power house?
Korea is by all means at the forefront of the global IT industry.
Indeed, our leading IT companies have made some impressive progress in technological advancements in the last decade or so.
Although, many technologies are actually developed overseas first. Korean engineers seem to perpect them and bring them to the mainstream faster. The hard work of these engineers is one of the factors that brought us where we are today.
Another reason korea has become a global powerhouse is that koreans are very tech-savvy. They really adopt to new technologies quickly that's why IT companies were able to build up a large customer base in a relatively short period of time.
Practically, everyone in korea owns a cell phone. The nation's hig speed internet penetration rate is also the world's highest. You can be sure there will be many more things comming out of our R&D centers for years to come.
